I love this carrier! I read about a lot of different ones and landed on this one because I liked the idea of being able to carry my baby on the front, back or hip and to be able to use it for a long time. I use it mostly on my hip right now because my little one is only 6 months old and she doesn't really fit on the front yet. She falls asleep in it and seems to be comfortable. I love being able to carry her and have my hands free.

I got my ergo a few days ago and absolutely loved it. I had to get the insert but that's just because my daughter is still small. It's extremely comfortable and stylish. I've been through several carriers including the moby, but this is by far the best! I totally recommend it.

It is beautiful, very comfortable for both of us.
My daughter really likes the color and instantly fell asleep in it.
I also use it to help her to fall asleep even during the evening.
BUT!
Be aware, it is VERY, VERY PINK.
I mean, shockingly pink.
(At least not neutral. First I got the camel color, but it was no color at all, looked like a piece of sheet, so I returned it. I did not want dark color either.)
My little one is a girly girl, so I do not mind, but if you are looking for something less flashy, do not buy this color.
This carrier has no zippered pocket, but I wouldn't put anything next to my baby's back anyway, specially not my cell.
The only pocket is holding the hood, but I could also put a small pack of sanitizing wipes in it and wasn't even bumpy.
All over I highly recommend it to anyone, because it is comfortable, easy to assemble and looks nice.

I received my carrier yesterday and I love it. The front carry and back carry are great and my baby loves it. I am not quite as comfortable with the hip carry, the strap hits me in the neck. This may be because I am pretty short, or I may not have quite mastered the adjustment yet. I am still playing around with it. We are going to Disney where I had planned to use the hip carry in order to ride some of the rides. I will definately have a better feeling for it after that.

I love this product. Its sturdy, well built, and so comfortable to wear. This is the second one Ive owned and I would gladly buy more! I only changed to this one because I loved the girly color since Im a mom of all girls. Its easy to use. It takes all the strain off your back and shoulders as the weight rests on your hips. Baby is comfy and secure since she sits on her bum rather than having her legs dangling. Worth every penny!

I get so many compliments on my ergo and I feel great wearing it. I love that this version doesn't have the pouch-- it makes it less bulky. The colors are brilliant, it's totally comfy, I can nurse in it while walking or pushing my bigger kid on the swings. I do not use the infant insert, just a blanket in the beginning. You may note though that it does not fit a person with a 44 waist. I was a bit disappointed my husband can't use it. Although I got this for my third baby, I've also used it with my toddlers-- both in the front and back. One night my two younger ones had fallen asleep in the double stroller and we had a longish walk home from dinner, so I put my 3 1/2 year old on my back with the ergo and wear able to get home with no fuss. Another time my 2 year old was having one of those overtired tantrums and I put him in the ergo and he calmed down! Wish I had it for my first two when they were babies.

I have carried my 20 lb daughter all over the place for hours at a time in this sling. She loves it and the embroidery is really pretty. The only thing I don't like is that this one doesn't have a pocket like the older model that I have used.

With my first adoption of an 11 month old - someone on the trip gave me their carrier that did would not fit for them. When I arrived home I purchased another one for the remaining year she spent traveling with me.
For our second adoption I need a carrier designed for older child 2 years old, 24 pounds. And found that Ergobaby Organic Baby Carrier would fit the bill. When it arrived I asked my now 3.5 year old weighing 31 pounds to try it out. We walked over a mile with her seated agained me. She almost fell right to sleep - like in the beginning. She now refuses to get into the carrier because it is so comfortable.
Here's hoping our newest daughter will enjoy the side rides while we are out of the country.

My baby screamed every time I put him in this. I am going to wait until he's old enough to not need the infant insert to use my ERGO carrier because this thing was a nightmare. I watched countless videos on how to put your baby in it and even had a friend of mine who uses the ERGO with her infant show me, but neither me nor my baby was comfortable with this bulky insert.

Just watch the DVD that came with the ERGO baby carrier and you should have no problems. Here's a breakdown of what I did.
1.) Put the ERGO carrier on but just the waist belt. DO NOT PUT ON THE SHOULDER STRAPS TILL LATER!!!
2.) I would swaddle my baby and than put her in the insert. Reason for this is once she fell asleep I can just lay her in the crib without waking her. One more thing...The top of my baby's head would be leveled with the top of the infant insert allowing her to have head support. She would pretty much look like a taco.
3.) Next I would pick her up and hold her head at my heart and her feet at my right side hip. Next you have to put the shoulder straps on while you hold your baby. After about 3 times I was able to complete my routine in about 30 sec.
4.) After she's in the carrier I would make little adjustments for comfort.
As you can see I did not have to hold my baby over my head like one of the reviewers stated. Not rocket science people just watches the DVD. Oh and my daughter was about 90th percentile in weight and high 80's in height.

As much as we love the Ergo Baby, this insert thing just frustrated us. It doesn't really fit very well and is hard to get in place. We watched the video over and over...
It's very floppy / flimsy and really doesn't provide any support for the babies head (which is why we thought it would be good to have)
We ended up using a lightweight fleece blanket about 2-1/2 foot square.
I don't think you need this.

As the parent of a 2 year old, we have had the Ergo for about a year and a half. Simply, we love it. Now, add in a 3 week old and a fussy one at that, I needed to find a suitable carrier for him. I purchased a Zolowear sling before he was born, which he hates, and tried the other carriers we had from our older son (Bjorn Active, Babyhawk and Hotsling) which he hated, too. So, one night, in desperation after 2 hours of baby crying, I was hunting for the Ergo infant insert on line to get it here ASAP. Got it next day air and it has been a lifesaver ever since. Figuring out how exactly to use it was a bit tricky, as the instructions with the insert gave one way, while the Ergobaby website gave another. (I went with the website directions, BTW...) My son calms down the second he is carried in the Ergo. It is wonderful. I am, however, a bit leary of taking him outside in the hot June/July temps in this carrier as he would quickly overheat, but for getting life done around a 2 yr old and a 3 week old, this can't be beat!!!

I bought this with my ergo sport after trying several different carriers and this one works the best. The infant insert is great for the young babies because it supports them and cradles them in the carrier. My son is 2 months and 13 pounds and he fits in it well but probably won't use it all the way to four months like they recommend, but as soon as i put him in the insert in the carrier he falls right asleep.

I am a long time babywearer, but had mostly used homemade slings and wraps. I had a snugli I was not happy with many years and babies ago so I had been hesitant to try a commercial product again. But my youngest "borrowed" a friend and her ergo while we were visiting and loved it, so I thought I would try it out. Both my 1 year old and 4 year old LOVE the Ergo. It has had many miles and trips put on it in the last few months. and I expect many, many more years.
The plastic buckle part broke (reason for the durable rating of 3) after only about 6 weeks. I contacted Ergo CS and received a mew piece later in the week, and it has been fine since then.

My sister and I both got an Ergo after trying several other carriers including the Bjorn, Snugli and a sling. I absolutely love this carrier! When I bought my ergo at a children's used/new store today I was so excited to take it home and try it on, but when I got home I wasn't happy, I'm kinda "chunky" and the ergo didn't fit!
