As much as we love the Ergo Baby....
This thing doesn't really fit very well and is hard to get in place. We watched the video over and over...this insert thing just frustrated us.
It's very floppy / flimsy and really doesn't provide any support for the babies head (which is why we thought it would be good to have)
We ended up using a lightweight fleece blanket about 2-1/2 foot square. I don't think you need this - it's really just for the first few weeks anyways.

This is a must have for your Ergo Carrier if you are a man or woman over the size of 10. We love our Ergo and I have used it for almost 2 years, but was shocked last week when I wanted my huband to carry my daughter on his back and it didn't fit around his waist. I was sure that I had seen pictures of "man sized" men using the carrier in Mothering Magazine - they must have been using the extension.

When I bought my ergo at a children's used/new store today I was so excited to take it home and try it on, but when I got home I wasn't happy, I'm kinda "chunky" and the ergo didn't fit! So I went to Giggle to buy the waist extender and I was finally able to put it on, and it fit. Thank goodness for this extender so I can now use my ergo! 5 stars!
